Capula's OSISoft Pi to PTC Thingworx Connector

For the connector to function the following system requirements need to be taken into consideration.

The connector is designed to work with:

  • OSIsoft PI (2014+)

  • PTC ThingWorx (8.3+)

To install the connector requires it to be installed on a system with the following existing utilities:

  • Microsoft Windows Server 2012+

  • .NET Framework 4.7.2

  • PI-AF Client (2014+)

PTC ThingWorx must have the following extension installed:

  • Grid Advanced (3.0.5+)

Note: The Grid Advanced Extension will need to be installed on PTC Thingworx prior to the installation of the Connector.

The target machine must have the PI AF Client tools installed which will ensure that the AF-SDK is available to the connector.

The target default PI historian for the AF server must be configured to accept connections from the service account running the connector.

The target machine must have Visual Studio 2012 Redistributables installed prior to installing the connector. For details, see below.

Prerequisite redistributables

To ensure the connector functions as expected, you will need to install the Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2012.
