Changing the OSISoft PI and AF server details

If the server name changes or the login credentials change for your PI or AF servers, this can be updated in the configuration file to ensure the Connector is using the correct details. For instructions about how to modify the configuration file refer to Making manual Configuration changes to the Connector .

To modify the details:

  1. Open the configuration file and locate the following Rows section within the Settings section of the configuration file

  2. Update the corresponding elements of the file with the new details and save the file.

"rows": [ { "Username": "testuser", "Password": "testpassword", "AFAttributeScanRate": "10000", "ConnectWithCreds": true, "PIServerName": "pi-server", "AFServerName": "af-server", "isWritePermissionsDisabled": false } ]

After you have saved the changes, the Connector service will need to be restarted for the changes to take effect, refer to Starting/Restarting the Connector service manually .
