Capula's OSISoft Pi to PTC Thingworx Connector
Digital states
For the connector version 1.1, digital states returned from OSISoft Pi return a NULL value in Thingworx. This is to ensure that any visualisation that uses a PI tag that can return values and digital states able able to do so given the unexpected value type.
The example below, shows this in action, where the source data on the right shows the digital states of “Shutdown” where the same data in Thingworx shows as NULL. The digital state in recorded in a new field of state.
So developers will be able to use the state and time stamp to create event based mashups from digital states, if required.
